Skanaluminium (Topic: 99004)

Skanaluminium is an association for the aluminium industry in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden which aims to promote and increase knowledge about the material aluminium and its correct application.

Activities:

Scholarship programme - to recruit skilled professionals into the industry and develop centres for aluminium technology at the major technical universities in the Nordic countries: NTH, KTH, DTU and HTKK.

Nordic doctorate programme - to offer accredited training at the highest level to students, doctoral candidates and other interested parties.

Support teachers and students at technical universities and colleges of engineering - to strengthen teaching and forge bonds between the aluminium industry and the educational community.

Teaching material development - to facilitate the dissemination of information and stimulate the search for new knowledge.

Courses, conferences and seminars - to cover the training needs of manufacturers, business, industry and educational institutions, as well as to encourage co-operation and the exchange of information.
