ALUSELECT database (Topic: 99001)

ALUSELECT is the result of a data harmonisation process in the European aluminium industry. Published and unpublished property data was collected, assessed and harmonised. In the data evaluation process 50 relevant properties for wrought alloys in different tempers were analysed. 4000 harmonised property values of 33 typical European wrought alloys have been selected and are published. They cover about 90% of the European wrought products used in general engineering applications.

ALUSELECT contains data on the following:

Composition

Mechanical properties (tensile, hardness, fatigue, creep)

Physical properties

Technological properties (corrosion, anodising, cold formability, machinability,

weldability, brazability, solderability)

In ALUSELECT data is specified by descriptors such as tempers, product forms, dimension ranges, testing methods, literature references, footnotes, etc.

For each alloy, information on the most common applications, characteristic properties and limitations on use are given where appropriate.
