H1y ñ Strain-hardened only
H2y ñ Strain-hardened and partially annealed
H3y ñ Strain-hardened and stabilised
H4y ñ Strain-hardened and lacquered or painted
The second digit after H indicates the degree of strain-hardening.
The second digit (y) after the letter H gives the final degree of
strain-hardening. The higher the second digit, the higher the tensile strength.
