Colouring of the anodic oxide layer (Topic: 14066)

Due to the porosity of the oxide coating, it is possible to impregnate a colour to the anodic film. There are three main colouring processes which are in use: (See also figure below).

- Integral colouring

- Dyeing

- Electrolytic colouring
