A00155.gifGypsum plates (Topic: 15048)

These plates are made of gypsum which is about 21% chemical bond water and 79% calcium sulphate.

The density of the plates is 700ñ1000 kg/m3.

The thermal conductivity is comparatively high both for low and high temperatures with a minimum value at about 200°C.

The gypsum plates good ability as a fire insulation is caused by the high energy required to release and evaporate the chemical bond water in the plates.
